Realizing I am in way over my head

Seeing as how I am about to take out all the windows to reputty them, I clean out a spot in the shop for the Wilderness and proceed to back her in. At this point, I realize I have no flippin' clue how to use my mirrors. I've backed up tons of horse trailers, cow trailers, pump sprayers, whatever, but obviously I never had to back up something I could not see over or at least partially through. It was humbling and pretty embarrassing. But, we finally get her in (a little close on one side, but that's okay). I'm still optimistic, still feeling good about this whole plan.

I decide to start with the J-rail. Pretty easy, right? Just unscrew and pop off. No worries about the vinyl inner trim, it's dry rotted and just falls out in pieces. Several of the screw heads were rusted and stripped, but they just pulled right out. Another bad sign that I did not realize right away. It's easy for the screws to come out when there isn't anything holding them, like wood.

At this point, I decide to take my needlenose pliers and poke around a little bit. Big mistake.

Yes, that is rotted wood that fell out of the corner. With a rising sense of despair, I take off the bottom front panel of aluminum.

Whew, deep breath. Not too bad, I"m thinking. Just the edges are rotted, but the center looks good. Nothing I can't handle. I remove a few more pieces.

Okay, then. Looks like I'll have to build a new frame for the window. That's not just terrible, I mean, it's just a square!
