Building the front panel

I break out the trusty old Skilsaw and get cracking on rebuilding the front panel. I used luan that I had acquired after my brother and I bought two storage units that were being sold because someone had quit making their payments. I also used three-quarter inch plywood that we had leftover after working on the floor in Daddy's shop office. I love to scrounge and re-purpose. My goal for this project is to keep costs at the bare minimum, so I'll have some leftover for gas to go road tripping!

I used what was left of the old panel for a template, but with both ends completely rotted out, it was difficult. I did buy the liquid nails and screws used to put it together. I will have a separate post detailing material costs.

I also found out that someone was already shacking up in my camper. There was an ant bed in the roof. When I had taken off the J-rail and pulled the aluminum up, they proceeded to crawl out and welcome me.
