Kitchen

The kitchen I had removed basically in one whole piece, so it was just a matter of sticking it back in and securing it with screws. I had used the reciprocating saw to just cut through the screws along the bottom edge and lifted the front panel out. I had an interesting discussion with my kids about the reciprocating saw. I have always heard it called a "zawzaw", which is due of course to some regional dialect. I tried to explain to them that one brand of saw is called a Sawzall, and that most people use it to describe any reciprocating saw, regardless of which company makes it. Similar to "Kleenex" being used instead of tissue.

Here's a lovely before picture.

For a backsplash, my daughter took all the national and state park maps we had saved from our trips and made a collage. We covered it with spray polyurethane to protect it. I love it, I think it turned out so cute and very personalized.

We left the top corner by the cabinets open for future trips.

My mother bought me the compass for Mother's Day at Wal-Mart. It fit perfectly in that spot.

The large cabinet door was missing when we purchased the camper. Sister had suggested just putting up a curtain, but I'm afraid of things falling out while in transit. I'm still not quite sure what the smaller part is for, it doesn't have slides for a drawer. Perhaps it was just an access point.

The stove is missing a knob, so that's something to be on the lookout for also.
