Roof vent
This screen was pretty dirty, it had a few years of grime caked on it. I used warm water, TSP, and a toothbrush to clean it.
The silicone is so thick you can't even feel the tops of the screws. This prompted my decision of not removing the sealant and just replacing the inside of the vent. I'm sure I would be up there for about 10 more years trying to get all that off.
The small window that used to be in the bathroom had frosted privacy glass. I took that out and replaced it with clear glass so that the person sleeping in the top bunk can look out.
View from the roof. The top of the camper is pretty dirty from where I used the air compressor to blow the filth out from around the air conditioner before I put the shroud back on. I had to actually replace the hardware that the vent cover latches on to. The old vent had hardware that slid into place, this had tabs that locked. I drilled out the old and used pop rivets to attach the new mechanism. I had never used a pop rivet gun before, it was surprisingly fun and easy.
A friend had bought a vent with a more powerful fan, so they had taken this one off their practically brand new camper.
